To Blog or Not to Blog

Obviously we like to blog at Cooper Group. Not only does it give us a chance to have a look around at what is going on in our industry in order to be across all the new up and coming ideas but we also find it is helpful for our clients in showing them from the get go we know what we are talking about.


The first point of contact with a company these days is usually through their website. It’s a great opportunity to check them out before you make the decision on calling them or not and I must say this first impression can make a huge impact. 


I have definitely looked at websites before and decided not to make the call dependant on their content and whether they look like they can do the job. 


Think about it this way, you want to appoint a new fit out company to design and construct your new clinic or office. You have two competitors coming out to see you, one is wearing a torn t-shirt and work books covered in mud and the other is wearing a branded polo shirt and clean work boots…….who do you feel the most comfortable with when it comes to handing over your money in order to get a job done? 


Yes the dirty work boots may indicate the boss is happy to get his hands dirty, but how is he meant to be across all other aspects of your project if he is busy digging holes on site? 


Your website gives off the same vibe to anyone looking to visit your business and the more information you can present them with the better. 


It is important to make sure you get the message across to your audience that you know what you are doing and you have a  strong interest in your work, and what better way to do this than a weekly, fortnightly or even monthly blog that shows you are keeping up to date with the industry and want to know of any new ideas whether it is furniture, equipment or even treatments that may be in the works.
