Managing an office or shop fitout can be extremely stressful, so we've put together a comprehensive list of tips and tricks to help make the process run a lot more smoothly.

1) Safety: Before you start going crazy with the layout of your office redesign or shop fitout, consider the safety issues in the space and for the rest of the building.
2) Size: Measure out the space that you have to work with and think about the person who will be using it, and what kind of activities they'll be using it for.
3) Noise: Consider whether the people working in each area will be able to do so without unwanted noise and other distractions. This can be negotiated with office partitions for example.
4) Light: Think about how you're going to control the light in the office or shop. Will there be any natural light or is it all electric?
5) Position: Plan where you place and position workstations so that all staff can get on with their jobs whilst feeling safe and comfortable.
